The airport of Sihanoukville is ready to receive flights

From 14 December 2011 Cambodia Angkor Air will start to serve the Siem-Reap – Sihanoukville route to ferry tourists from the world heritage town to the country’s prime seaside destination. It will fly to Sihanoukville, three times a week, using a 70-seat ATR72. Tickets are to sell in local offices and costs about $85. Booking through the website of Cambodia Angkor Air and related Vietnam Airlines is not available now. Flight schedule is mon-wed-fri at:

Flight time: 1h 10min, 15:50 - 17:00 KOS- REP (Sihanoukville – Siem-Reap)
Flight time: 1h 10min, 14:10 - 15:20 REP- KOS (Siem-Reap – Sihanoukville)

There are only private flights in Sihanoukville airport now. Area is well cared but absolutely empty. New regular flights will bring the life in to. The way from airport to city will takes about 20 min.
