New Year 2012 in Sihanoukville

In 2012, the first time in modern history of Cambodia these holidays were declared as the days off, so on the coast, and in the city on the New Year evening and night was not only a huge amount of tourists but a lot of khmer people from around the country.

From 16 pm on 31 December at the most popular Sihanoukville beach, Ochheuteal was crowded. Perhaps only in South-East Asia in the crowd I do feel so calm and safe. Unusually large number of police officers rather festive surroundings, than a necessity.

And the police ladies, of course, are women, even at the post.

Palm trees in the New Year garlands begin to mysteriously flicker at dark. The town is beautifully illuminated.

Meanwhile, the director of the Voice of Cambodia in russian nightclub "Airport" from the beard of cotton congratulates everybody with the New 2012 Year! And, along with the editorial team, wishes everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
