Tangerines and firecrackers
22 January 2012 all the Khmer people in Cambodia celebrate the New Year in Chinese calendar. This holiday is a family fest – better to stay at home, or, maybe visit relatives for a short time.
Can not imagine Chinese New Year celebration without the fireworks. Today, from dawn until the late Sihanoukville is sheltered by a haze of gunpowder - firecrackers here is somewhat unusual – a lot of gunshot sounds ends with a fountain of pieces of colored tissue paper, flying and flitting a couple of meters around. And – one more symbol of the New Year, tangerines, but they are hanging right on the tree - the joke of a tropical paradise. Sold now everywhere, very nice kind of a Christmas house decoration.
